THE TASTE OF MUGHAl-E-AZAM

Galawat, a place of Mughal ethnicity, where the rich culture finds its way to the hearts of its customers. through the stomach to their stomach.

GALAWAT invites you to savor a truly unique culinary journey with delectable recipes crafted by the renowned Chef Akbar Ali, the great grandson of Ustaad Iliyas Ali, a distinguished culinary master from the era of Nawab Wahid Ali Shah in the mid-18th century. Indulge in the authentic flavors of Lucknavi Gharana cuisine at GALAWAT and experience the essence of tradition on your plate.

AMBIENCE:

Just as the customers step in the intricate decorations like the various paintings, chandeliers, background
music everything is perfect enough to take them back in time to the historical age of the Mughals. The ambience of the restaurant is the enhanced as one glances through the elegant architectural details. In other words, Galway success in setting the mood of its customer and prepares them for a royal meal.

SIGNATURE DISHES:

SHEEKH KEBAB- The sheekh kebabs were soft and filled with flavours. The green chutney tied the                                                  dish together in an awesome manner to amplify all of its amazing flavourful spices.

SHAHI GALAWAT THALI-    It consisted of the following:

                                                                  -----------MALAI TANGRI--------------

The malai tangri had just the right amount of softness and malai in it. The lemon juice added a slight punch to the whole taste and made it exquisitely creamy yet not heavy. The slight flavour of the lemon made it stand out.

------GALOUTI KEBAB & RUMALI ROTI------

 The
rumali roti along with the kebab tasted fantastic. Just as the name suggests, the galouti kebab seemed to melt and dissolve in the mouth as soon as we had it.

-------MUTTON BIRYANI & BHUNA GOSTH-------

The bhuna gosth and  biryani together were light yet flavourful. The authenticity of biryani was maintained along with the healthy factor, while the bhuna gosth contradicted it as it had a thick gravy full of multiple spices that made the master piece.

SHAHI TUKDA- Coming down to the show stopper, the shahi tukda gave out a taste of royalty in each bite, which makes one say-“yeh dil maange more”. It was really soft and the "cherry on top" vibe was stolen by the kesar on its top.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE:

As a whole GALAWAT is the perfect place where you can enjoy a royal treatment at a reasonable price. We  even received a warm welcome from the staff. Even the utensils reflected upon the culture that was prevalent during that era. They have effortlessly made sure every corner of the restaurant speaks of the gharana it belongs to. We had a great time here, let me know if you would visit this place with your close ones.

Thank you!
